Dusky - Cold Heart

Many Different House Vibes

Don’t think Dusky has sent out a track to have us go “hmm not for us”. And that streak is due to continue as this latest hit, ‘Cold Heart’ is sounding super sick.

This banger gets right into it with some nice bass and some singlong vocals for you to get all into your singing bag. Then as you progress through the track, you will find that the baseline will have you doing some nuts dance steps on the dance floor as Dusky does he does best and that’s have you feeling the vibes and enjoying yourself in the moment.

A tad of a futuristic vibe can be heard flowing through this one and if you and some have even said they can feel a bit of a tech house vibe. Regardless of the vibe you feel, Dusky has created a banger for all vibe to be felt.

Abel Miller - Private Island EP

Brand New EP For The Collection

              Abel Miller

Revitalising the essence of UK R&B, Abel Miller has solidified his presence within the scene and is set to embark on his latest venture as he pays homage to the complexity, depth and passion that prevails from the RnB genre as he relinquishes his brand new project ‘Private Island.’

Envision yourself on a private island, drenched with the warm rays of the sun and hearing the soft sounds of the waves hitting the shore. The EP radiates soulful sounds, refined by smooth vocals and Abel Miller’s aptitude in song-writing. A mastermind of mesmerising melodies and sultry sonics ‘Private Island’ unearths maturity and a new perspective of the singers talents that have grown from his previous experiences and releases.

A paradox of flavours, Abel begins the project with the release of ‘Ride For Me’. A record that shows admiration for his leading lady, he constructs a spellbinding track dedicated to his dearest. As we move further in the EP what is evident is his vocal precision and his ability to deliver a radiant sound over non-linear RnB beats. The records dive in to a sound that not only encapsulate the heart of the genre but also have a unique, engaging and modern twist. Records such as ‘Keeper' highlights this further as it brings waves of melodic rap fused with an instrumental riddled with hypnotic loops.

Creating another dimension to his project, Abel Miller hasn’t spared on the features either as he enlists rapper J Spades and afrobeats artist Sona to grace the lineup. Laced with beautiful vocals and harmonies J Spades switches up ‘Falling’ providing a lyrically tough and cutting verse. Bringing the pace of the EP to a more chilled and easy pace, the Writers Block produced ‘Chasing Rain’ makes for a stripped back afro-fusion with the addition of Sona on the record. Sealing the EP off on a high ‘Birthday’ encapsulates the essence of the EP into one and provides an abundance of vibes.

Having already built a strong following and foundation with singles such as ‘My Life’, Light Up’, ‘Lonely’ and ‘No Gentleman’, which was playlisted on BBC 1Xtra, Abel Miller has also become one of the most sought after voices in UK RnB seeing him collaborate with K.Koke, Nash, Loick Essien, Cashh and Paigey Cakey as well as releasing three mixtape ‘Make You Love Me’, ‘A Million’ and ‘Est 1991’. Now with his self-created platform, he is about to embark on the latest chapter of his career.

With the release of 6 new solid tracks, produced by some of the UK’s most exciting producers and production teams, that include TWB (The Writers Block), SOS and Elson Barbosa, Abel Miller gives us the getaway we have longed for as he takes us on a journey to his very own ‘Private Island’.

Yizzy - Keep Pushing

New Heat From Yizzy

Grime’s freshest face YIZZY has been on a mission in 2018, dropping heat with his SOS EP earlier in the year and hi-octane banger ‘HYPE TING’ in October. With no break, the Lewisham young gun takes his traditional sound to a fresh realm with emotive track ‘KEEP CHASING,’ produced by Z-DOT. Refreshingly honest, spitting tight, emotive bars over sharp keys, Yizzy explores the realities of life's low points and the power to overcome them, chasing their goals. Real talk from the brazen talent who has worked hard to rise up the ranks, not just in music but in his young career as a sportsman and beyond.

KEEP CHASING dropped on Friday 23th November as a digital single, complete with a hard-hitting video out NOW, created by Oliver Brian and Yizzy himself. The video follows three characters going through personal individual struggles including drugs, career pressure and family problems, and how they work hard to get through to the other side. It’s an uplifting, empowering and motivational video that resonates with the nature of the track.

“With Keep Chasing, I wanted to explore some of the barriers that people hit in life, but find the strength to overcome them, essentially allowing them to keep chasing whatever their life goals are. Everyone experiences highs and lows in their life but you need to remember that you grow through what you go through and become a better stronger person, when all is said and done.” - YIZZY

With a serious trademark style of OG grime production and new school energy, Yizzy has gained accolade among fans, artists and industry faces over the past months, Keep Chasing shines light on Yizzy as story-teller and a deeper MC. Teaming up with ZDOT on this emphatic cut was a no brainer, with killer past productions with the likes of Lady Leshurr, Wiley, Stormzy, it’s testament to Yizzy’s shining status and his A grade sound. Empowering and enticing, Keep Chasing hooks the listener in with fresh perspective and melodic insight to Yizzy’s own journey.

Dirty Dike - Caustic Soda

Super Sick Visuals

              Dirty Dike

Today marks the release of ‘Caustic Soda’, Dirty Dike’s third single/video from his highly anticipated ‘Acrylic Snail’ album. Following on from the high octane 1st single ‘Permanent Midnight’ & the rambunctious 2nd single ‘Woah’, ‘Caustic Soda’ exists somewhere in between the two, employing a classic Hip Hop tempo with the sounds and feel of a more contemporary production. Much like the corrosive liquid the song is named after, ‘Caustic Soda’ is as abrasive as they come, whether it be the industrial sounding synths or Dirty Dike’s infectious devil-may-care signature style, the song’s impact is undeniable, foreshadowing the imminent thump of the eagerly awaited ‘Acrylic Snail’ album.

The edgy and alarming vibes of ‘Caustic Soda’ are perfectly captured in the music video which makes great use of mind bending optical illusions creating the perfect visual counterpart for such an unsettling, yet captivating, track. Directed by This & That Media, the video can be viewed in all its glory over on HighFocusTV.

Having risen to prominence in 2008 with his acclaimed debut solo album ‘Bogies and Alcohol’, his focus on sincere, unapologetic Hip-Hop has remained undeterred. Embodying the freezing cold concrete pours, twilight toe slaps and irregularly shaped ballast banks of the network, ‘Acrylic Snail’ pays homage to the things Dike saw in the very farthest reaches of night that made him who he is today.

With the album featuring a heavy and highly impressive feature list that further solidify the status and respect he holds in the Hip Hop scene as both an artist and producer (credits include Rag ’n’ Bone Man (‘Put That Soul On Me’), Ocean Wisdom (‘Chaos 93’) and Lee Scott (‘Butter Fly’), names such as Rag’n’Bone Man, Jam Baxter, Dabbla, Leaf Dog, Eva Lazarus, Jman, Ronnie Bosh, Inja, Killa P, Foreign Beggars and of course ‘Woah’s’ Lee Scott are all included on the tracklist for Acrylic Snail and see Dirty Dike making an exceptional transition in to new territories. The 14-track album; his most personal release to date and a body of work that shines a full-beam-floodlight on his formative years, but moreover, the dreamlike transition between then and now.

Electricity - MK Remix

Now This Is Just What You Need

Why does MK always do this to us? This talented young man just gives us hits after hit and he makes it look so easy. This remix is no different as MK has remixed Electricity by Dua Lipa & Silk City andwe have to say, MK has a contender for track of year with this one!

If you’re looking for those bangers that give you a little bit of everything so you can show off your full arsenal of attack from shuffling to side to side skanking and of course, singing your heart out, MK deserves a “Thank You” from you cos this is exactly what he has conjured up in the studio with this lighting sharp remix. This remix feels very uplifting and energetic with the drop pumping just the right amount of base to suit your shuffling needs. If you don’t have the urge to give it your all on the dance floor after the drop, then you need to clean your ears out!

The original was already smash hit that we all loved, MK has now put his unique spin on it and we are sure hell convinced that the replay value on this one is going to be very bloody long.

Call On Me - Disclosure Remix

Futuristic Vibes Are In

It’s been a while since we heard a Disclosure track so we instantly got excited cos you know, its disclosure. And this hype was rightfully justified as the guys remix of ‘Call On Me’ is just what the radio need right now.

Listening to this with headphones a smile will grace your face as you come to the realisation that you’re listening to a banger from one of the best duos around and it is sick. With some seriously dirty scratches in this one, this tune is just all kinds of nuts and when you add the Futuristic House vibes emitting from the beat before second 1, woah this is just too much to comprehend on the first play. You will be playing this one over and over to clock all the dope drops, mixes and vocals that are plastered on this one.

Disclosure been doing this from day one and we credit them for bringing some seriously different and much needed vibes, ideas and love to the game. So it is no surprise that this latest releases is just fire.

Jam Baxter - Mask

Dope Trio Delivering Dope Bars

              Jam Baxter

You may have heard Jam Baxter's 'Mask' featuring Rag'n'Bone Man & OG Rootz premiered by Dj Target's show on BBC 1Xtra earlier this week, but nothing can prepare you for the audio visual experience on offer in the official music video, directed by Broken Antenna. Join Jam Baxter, Rag'n'Bone Man & OG Rootz as they link up for a sit down meal in one of London's most prestigious and off key restaurants.

Widely regarded as one of the most gifted writers in the UK, Jam Baxter releases new album ‘Touching Scenes’ alongside the single via High Focus Records today. Treating us to 16 tracks of some of his most polished and accomplished work to date, a fully fledged audio visual experience - a psychedelic opus. A Touching Scene. Whether it is the incredible avant garde production, or the all-encompassing scenic vocals. Nothing comes out of this experience unscathed. Tears of joy guaranteed.

Similarly to his previous record, the slightly slurred and and debauched ‘Mansion 38’, Jam Baxter recorded this new body of work in the tropical settings of Bangkok, Thailand, with long time collaborator and audio landscapist, Chemo. However, this time around, the pair have enlisted the capable hands of GhostTown, Sumgii, Last Japan & Sam Zircon to contribute to the colour palette of this more refined body of work, allowing the project to stand alone sonically as a more evolved sequel to its low tempo predecessor. The album blurs the conventional genre lines of hip hop and grime in it's production, with lyrical influences ranging from William S. Burroughs to Young Thug. There are a multitude of sumptuous flavours in this finely woven package that cater to every conceivable taste bud - perhaps making this LP Jam Baxter’s most complete and polished effort to date.

Jam Baxter is joined on this journey by a very carefully selected & varied set of vocalists; who all bring their unique vista to the project, further enriching the tapestry. From modern day super star Rag’n’Bone Man, to the ingenious Kate Tempest, to Grime pioneer OG Rootz (FKA Durrty Goodz), to underground sensation Stinkin Slumrok as well as up & coming singer Rhi - there is a representative from every facet of the fragmented UK scene all coming together to add to the poignancy of the Touching Scene.
